The role of social workers has changed and evolved during the COVID pandemic. Preparing for the next wave of COVID and other potential pandemics is now a key challenge in the social work profession. Learning from experiences of other countries with different mitigation guidelines may expand social workers’ knowledge and expertise in the field.

Miriam Schiff, PhD. MSW, MA (Website) is a Professor and Zena Harman Chair in Social Work at Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.
