Mindfulness stems from ancient Eastern philosophies as a state of active attention where one engages in the present moment with acceptance while suspending judgment. Today, Mindfulness is a key component in various and widely-recognized Western healing interventions. It results in improved well-being across multiple domains including, but not limited to, improved symptom management, productivity in the workplace, and positive personal and professional relationships.

This workshop provides an overview of the history and different types of mindfulness. Dr. Murali Nair (Bio) will discuss how mindfulness works and how to customize it across traditional and evidence-based models. Attendees will leave with Mindfulness activities to implement with themselves, staff, colleagues, and clients.
