Description and Objectives

We welcome you to join us for a panel discussion on recent Texas legislation regarding abortion access, SB 8, and its social, personal, health, and political implications. Panelist will also describe the intersectional impact of anti-abortion access legislation.

By attending, participants will better

• understand the disproportionate impact that the SB 8 law has on Black women and women of color, immigrants and refugees, impoverished persons, young people, trans and nonbinary persons, single mothers, and survivors of incest, rape and domestic violence
• identify action steps that they can take to assure access by all individuals to their legal right to abortion and reproductive health more generally
